Tarp Award

The Tarp Award is named after a former Lady Commando, Sara Tarpley. Sara embodied what it meant to be apart of LCB through her hard work and dedication on and off the court. Sara played Lady Commando Basketball all four years in high school, played tennis and golf, was voted the school's Homecoming Queen, and was elected Student Body President. She managed to fulfill these roles successfully and graduate with a weighted grade point average of 4.6!

This honor is awarded to any senior that meets the minimum criteria of a four-year commitment to the program and a final, unweighted grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Along with these two criteria, other qualities such as leadership, integrity, and a strong work ethic must be displayed. This award is voted on by the coaching staff.
